Because of the lack of staff, this meeting was comprised of multiple activities, leadership and emergency services being the main ones. C/2d Lt Menk was excellent in the impromptu planning of the meeting, and, because of this, the meeting held together. In the Emergency Services part of the meeting, Chief Briggs taught a class about knots, which I am sure was very useful to everybody. Afterwards, drill was taught and practiced, wherein an interesting circumstance arose: we had no flight sergeant! Graciously, C/Lt Col Ekstrand took this position, and thus arose an interesting name: the Flight Colonel.
