This meeting, an aerospace class, headed by C/CMSgt Batemen, was taught, focusing mainly on Predator Drones. He then demonstrated to the cadets (left) how to fly a smaller drone, the Tello Edu by DJI, letting them fly it during the process. Afterwards, drill practice was done and drill tests were executed, the latter enabling C/A1C Bateman to promote to C/SrA, which he did during Commander’s Call. But speaking of promotions, a special note should be paid to C/CMSgt Bateman (right), who also promoted, advancing to the grade of C/2d Lt, a milestone achievement achieved by a mere 15% of cadets. Also, a couple seniors achieved the “Golden Spatula Award,” which is a squadron award for those who helped out immensely with the squadron’s annual fundraising event, the Pancake Breakfast. Overall, lots of hard work was well rewarded.
