This meeting, on invitation from C/TSgt. Hipp, cybersecurity professor Dr. James Smith from the University of Northwestern came and gave a very informative class on avoiding scams and hacks — a skill that is becoming very necessary in today’s world! Afterwards, some of the beginner cadets had a wingman class taught by 2d Lt Hayden Bateman while the other cadets drilled. Next, during commander’s call, the announcement was made that both C/AB Xing and C/TSgt Hipp had received Honor Cadet in their respective seminars in Minnesota’s Leadership Academy. Way to go Airman Xing and Sergeant Hipp! Also, it was announced that C/SSgt Bateman scored big and got 100% on his Chapter 4 Leadership Test! Then, last but not least, a new cadet joined!! In the swearing in, all the Airmen Basic cadets went up front and got sworn in, and there were 9 cadets! That, I believe, is a record of new members. Overall, it was a greatly encouraging and informative meeting.
