Lt Col Paul Prior has dedicated his life to service. His vocation is civil servant with Saint Paul Parks and Recreation for the last 38 years. His avocations include Boy Scouts and Civil Air Patrol.
Since May 1992, he served Civil Air Patrol as Saint Croix Squadron’s Emergency Services Officer (Senior Rating), Aerospace Education Officer (Master Rating), Deputy Commander of Seniors, and currently as Squadron Commander. Lt Col Paul Prior was the 2010 and 2013 MNWG AEO of the Year, 2010 MNWG Frank Brewer Award Nominee, 2013 NCR AEO of the Year, and 2014 MNWG Group 2 Senior of the Year recipient.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Communications and a Minor in French History. In 1975, he completed Private Pilot Ground School with the U.S. Army at Fort McCoy in 1975.
He earned his Private Pilot certificate as an Aviation Exploring Scout flying out of MSP Airport. Lt Col Paul Prior is married to Cindy Prior, and is father to Patrick and Molly (a CAP C/SrA).
